AIBU to think the potty training guide on MN is unhelpful / demoralising?

It starts off saying it can take months but then the diary of a typical experience has it all done and dusted in about two weeks. You only have to read the thread titles on this board to see that that is NOT the case for huge numbers of us. Sorry, just moaning as I feel SO fed up with lack of progress and I know DS does understand and CAN do it, just often doesn't. Am anxious about return to CM and pre-school in sept and whether they'll be happy to persevere but be moaning behind my back that we're doing it wrong (DS is 3 btw)

My 4 were all potty trained within a few days ... I think if they take longer then they're just not ready ...

My ds was 3.8 when he did it. Dry in 2 days, dry at night in 3 weeks.

I tried earlier numerous times, didn't work. He wasn't ready.

Actually he may well have been ready but not in the right frame of mind iykwim.

agree, it's done and dusted in days (DC2 in a morningShock) if done when they're ready

DC1 was months

Can you tell which one I left to it Wink
