My DS2 is 2.5, he has done pretty well the last few days as long as I put him on the potty regularly Smile. Sometimes he can go an hour between wees, sometimes he wets himself after twenty minutes, this doesn't seem to be related to how much he drinks or when he poos. He also only seems to do tiny wees, I am worried if I put him on the potty every half an hour he won't get used to holding it ever, but if I don't he will be wet, he doesn't tell me when he is wet, I just have to keep an eye on him!

So what do you think, is it normal to do little and often, should I put him on regularly or will that mean he never gets used to holding on to it. I am determined to continue with it as he is dc3 and after 7.5 years I want to be finished with nappies.

DS was the same when I started training him. It felt like it was every five minutes at the start!

I think they need to learn how to hold it in enough to do a big wee, rather than dribbling little bits ever five minutes. I put DS on the toilet (amid screams of 'I don't want to bea big boy! Waah!) every half hour and gradually extended it when he began to have no wees every half hour. Took about a week and a half to get wees sorted, he still does a bit every now and then when he's playing or distracted. Good luck and persevere:)
