My little boy has just turned 3, and I really really want to get him potty trained. The problem is that even when I know he needs to do a wee, he just doesn't when I sit him on the potty. He does sit on the potty sometimes, although not for a week or so, but apart from one tiny dribble last week, he's only done one wee in the potty, and that was purely accidental as he was only 13 months.
No idea what to do. Am very wary of 'pushing' him as he's a cautious, sensitive little chap, very easily put off new things. He likes to watch and watch other children do things in toddler groups/playground before trying himself. However I only know one boy his age who is trained, and he is at nursery most of the time (and so noisy he scares my DS anyhow!).
If he's not weeing in the potty, will just not putting a nappy on him totally terrify him? Worried about making things harder by pushing it, but number 2 is due in November, so don't want to be tackling this when I'm huge and knackered!
HELP!
