3.6 not needing to wee first thing in the morning

For the last 6 months whilst potty training I've been taking my 3.6 DD to the loo first thing in the morning, but now she tells me when she needs to wee, she says she doesn't need to go first thing in the morning. She tells me when she needs to go late morning.

I thought everyone needs to go first thing. Is she at risk of urinary infection if she doesn't empty her bladder first thing?

If she says she doesnt need a wee she probably just doesnt need a wee.

Does she drink less before bed than she used to?

I've wondered the same thing about my dd2. She is 3.4 and dry through the night for the last couple of months. She doesn't have an urgent need to wee when she wakes up at all.

DD1 on the other hand races up the hall and into the bathroom at high speed every morning and her relief once she wees is obvious.

My DS (who is now 8!) never needed to wee first thing, often went until after lunch without weeing. He still often waits that long and has never had any comeback from it, ie infections/other problems.

But I remember clearly waiting for him to wee in the potty before we went out and he never bloody did , we didn't get out until 1pm or later!

Yes, you've made me think, she hasn't been finishing her milk at bedtime lately, I guess because we've been eating later as she wants a big snack after pre-school. Thanks! She's dry at night so just seems like a long time...
