ds2 has a phobia about coming out of nappies -long story but he will hold onto everything for 9hrs or so - Urologist and HV have said to leave him in nappies for now and we're looking at a psychologist referral next

I'm just worried that he'll be starting school in september and given the current waiting lists we may not have even seen the psychologist by then
I have spoken to the school already who are fine with it but I'm just worried my poor little monkey is going to get teased about it. He's only 3 yrs old (4 in May) so will one of youngest in the year - but is very tall so looks lots older than he is

please can anyone tell me about their experiences of children starting school still not toilet trained

My son was trained about 2 weeks before he started school, but I do urge you not to worry. DS has had accidents and been sent home in different clothes, the teachers wee fine. I also recall a child in my elder son's class who was seeing a specialist and the children were very matter of fact that he started school in pull ups. They are still matter of fact that he has accidents.
Although maybe my son is particularly dense as he only noticed (at 6) that Ceri on Cebeebies only has one arm!
