Ds vomiting after pooing in potty. Anyone heard of this before?

Potty training was going so well. Happy to wee in potty. But the only two times he's pooed in potty he vomited straight after! I think this has put him off trying again. Not sure what to do about it. Don't want to build up a phobia. I've tried googling, and can't find anyone else saying they have had this problem.

Could you get him to use the toilet instead? Could it be that he is hyper sensitive to smells?

Yes that is our next plan. It's not so convenient for him as a potty though and takes more to persuade him to stop what he's doing and go to bathroom. But that is what we thought we'd probably have to try next.
