My ds is 2.5, and I want to start potty training him, as I think he now has control. We've had the potty in the house for months now just so he could get used to it being there.
I'm so worried now because my otherwise well tempered boy has a huge trantrum if I suggest he sits on the potty. Tried sitting his toys on it, iv'e even sat on it saying it's great (blush) lol, but still no luck. Iv'e tried to bribe him with chocolate, but he's not able to understand a bribe yet so it seems!
Is he not ready, or have a waited too late to train him, and now he's in the terrible two stage it's going to be impossible?
Please someone make me feel better :( anyone else found this and found something that worked. Or should I leave it a couple months more?
I'm a mum that's usually not worried about what other kids/parents are doing, but I can't help not feeling jealous/worried as they take their 20 months kids off the the loo happily at playgroup!
Please help thank you!!! xxx

none of my 3 boys would even entertain the idea of sitting on the potty, so we went straight to the toilet.
i think the toilet was more comfortable to sit on, or you could teach him standing up? ds3 is 2.5 and he thinks that's hilarious!
