Initially ds 3.2 years refused to wear pants and wanted to wear his nappy. We had a compromise where he could just run around the house with nothing on his bottom half so far he has had loads of sucessful attempts with bith wee's and poo's. I then persueded him to wear pants as we went out and brought peppa pig ones but he keeps having accidents. Is it because he's too warm down in that area?

no idea why but DD was/is the same. friends have the same problem.

if DD wears pants, I have to remind her (and we have only few accidents that way). with a bare bottom she is fine without reminders...

suppose this is normal.

Same problem here - ds fine running round bare bottomed but accidents constantly when in pants. Just didn't seem to "get it" iykwim. Asked the mums on here what to do and we went "cold turkey" with him and basically refused to put nappies on him during the day - bought him night time pull ups and he wore those at night - within a week he was dry and clean in the day but still wet at night. Then we ran out of pull ups so I tried to put him in his little sis nappies - absoulutely refused to wear them and after a week of wet beds and wet jammy bums he is now dry Grin. btw ds is 4 and has epilepsy and language delay ( signs). Good luck x

Had a similar problem myself with DS and some very clever person suggested boxer shorts (can get in sainsbos) as they are not so tight and "comforting" around the bottom as proper pants and nappies are. Worked within days Smile
