Hello all
DS2 is 2.11 and currently 3 weeks into potty training. Oh the whole, he's been pretty good about performing on the potty, as long as I put him there when I think the time is right. He never instigates it but obviously knows what the potty is for and seems to like his 'big boy' pants.

So, he never ask to go. Today, for example, he was playing and suddenly said, 'Mum get the potty. I've got wee in my pants'. And indeed, there was some wee, but he's obviously held some in as he then deposited some more in the potty, and now tells me there's a poo coming.

So, I guess my question is, should I just stop asking him if he wants to go and leave it up to him to take the lead. Will this force him to think a bit more about it rather than leaving it all up to me? Am I just being an impatient old bag (quite possible).

We also have an issue with not using the potty anywhere but at home (have started a separate thread about that), but that's a battle for another day.

Thanks - would be good to hear of anyone who has been through something similar.
