Well, am I?

He is 2.10 and has been nappy-free for 1 week. As he is my No3 I never expected to find potty-training exciting/amusing, but I do Blush. Not so much the actual practicalities of it all, but to watch his sheer excitement and sense of achievement when he gets it 'right' has just really been good fun.
So far he has had one accident free day and only 2 No2s in the potty, but hey ho: he's got the right idea, he knows when he needs to go and he now even remembers to pull his pants down before he sits down Grin.
I know it is early days, it can all still go pear-shaped, and thank heavens for washing machines, but so far, to my surprise, I am enjoying myself.

DS1 and 2 were also close to 3 before we gave it a go with them and it went ok - although there was more chocolate button bribery involved at the time... And they are now alsmot 8 and 7 and still do not wipe their own bottoms BlushHmm

I don't think you are but maybe just a little strange Wink . I have to say that i personally think potty training is one of the worst things you have to do as a parent but i also have to admit that this time round with my DD (2nd DC) i am feeling more relaxed about it when she has an accident, which is quite often. It still doesn't stop me from doubting myself and her and constantly wondering if i should carry on or stop etc etc!

Nope, I understand, I was quite captivated with the same (and yes, a dc2 so should be old hat!). It's great when they are learning anything nwew!!

(UNfortunately, a few months down the line and the novelty has well and truly worn off. I just can't be bothered -am 38 weeks preg too- so he is mostly back in nappies... Blush)
