Does anyone have any experience of desmomelt for bedwetting

After years of waiting we've finally managed to get dd seen today about her bedwetting.
At 7 she's getting to an age were brownie camp will be coming up soon, and sleepovers etc.

So today they told me the best option for her would be to take desmomelt. Was wondering if anybody had any experience of this and found it helpful or not even?

TIA

Go for it, wonderful medicine! Very important that child does not drink for an hour before taking desmomelt or they can become Ill. It basically makes their body concentrate their urine during the night so that their bladder doesn't get so full, our bodies should do this naturally but it sometimes fails in children. You might find that it kick starts their body into concentrating urine again after using them for a while.

yy marv stuff

you must follow the instructions, as TA says there are risks (as with any meds) but they are outweighed imo by the benefits

as well, there are things that you can do to improve things:

avoid red/brown drinks (coke/ribena/tea)
increase fluid intake to stretch the bladder and thus increase holding capacity; milk and water are best - you might need to get school involved in encouraging/reminding her to drink more during the school day
do wee/teeth/wee at bedtime (double-voiding) to empty the bladder fully

good luck
