I have a girl but simply bought the cheapest o could. Primark ones fell apart but tesco ones fab can't see why boys would be much different unless they have a fly

I bought 4 training pants for my DS from ebay, but almost have not used them. When I started potty train DS, it seemed like he understood those thicker training pants as nappies, and continued happily to wee and poo in there. We only moved forward with potty training when I kept his bottom either naked or loose trousers/shorts. Then he moved to normal pants.
So my genuine opinion, training pants are waste of money, but other people might think differently.

We went straight to normal pants-cheap character ones from tesco/asda as it didnt matter if they got chucked. It really helps as they can feel as soon as they start to go. Also my ds was really excited to wear his thomas pants, and we made a big thing about how happy thomas was to still be dry when he managed a wee on the potty
