Croaky voice 9 months postpartum

This is a bit of a strange one. I had my daughter 9 months ago via c-section. During pregnancy my voice went croaky, lost strength, was hoarse and I struggled to sing. I assumed it was extra weight and squashed lungs .Now 9 months on some days it is ok and other days it is terrible. I recently went back to work (part time) as a teacher and genuinely could not get through storytime with my class. Lots of my job involves using my voice a lot - singing etc and I am struggling. Has anyone had this before? I don't know whether to ring the Drs? It seems a bit silly - I have a croaky voice!

A friend had this. It was caused by benign growths on his vocal cords. You definitely need to get it checked though.
