Lingering episiotomy scar tissue and granulation after childbirth, anyone experienced this?

Hello.
has anyone had any lingering scarring and / or granulation tissue at the sight of an episiotmy following childbirth?
my kid is years and year old… about 6 months after giving birth I was told i had granulation tissue / scar tissue grown over the episiotmy wound. It’s a little lumpy excessive bit of skin. I was told the only option would be removal via surgery and that it would likely scar and heal in the same way, so I just left it! Fast forward another pregnancy and I had similar experience but the other side of my vagina. Now I have a bumpy little ugly V.

it looks like silver nitrate could be an option. To remove it.

I have GP appointment soon,

has anyone had this? And had silver nitrate? Or surgery? Or just live with it?

I had this after my first child, and it was sore. At my (six week?) check, I mentioned it casually to my GP who then asked to see it. She then grabbed a silver nitrate stick and burnt it off there and then. It was a bit sore for a day or two but healed really quickly. Do get it sorted - if silver nitrate is an option, it’s really quick x
