Still look pregnant 1 year on after twins... anyone seen a post-natal osteopath?

I had my twins just over a year ago and things are great. I'm still seeing the hospital physio but I'm not really sure why as my diastasis recti is under 2 fingers wide now. Thing is, I still look pregnant. I'm pretty slim elsewhere so it's quite onvious. I also feel that my spine curves in a lot more now.
I've been seeing targeted ads on Instagram about postnatal osteopathy and wondered if anyone has done this or would recommend? The ads I'm seeing suggest my organs have shifted and spine realigned which sounds plausible to me but I'm not medical.

Edited to add it was vaginal births, not sure if that's relevant but had no surgery.

Oh, following. Just one baby here but very similar.

Osteopath is good for putting everything back in place but to close that gap you need Pilates. It will close on its own eventually but if you have a convenient pilates class it will be much quicker.

Pretty sure osteopathy is unevidenced.

ItsStillWork · 24/05/2026 22:34

Tummy tuck with muscle repair an option?

Catnaaaaap · 25/05/2026 02:00

Oh, I didn't realise osteopathy was unevidenced. Sounds fancy so I assumed it was a thing. I really dont want surgery/ tummy tuck unless it was for health reasons rather than just for looks.
I'll have a look into pilates though, thanks.

Osteopathy is not unevidenced it is very useful for most muscular skeletal issues and I have used it successfully, I just don’t think it is the best for this particular issue.

Please research diasis recti and follow the exercises to close the muscles back together

I have been seeing the physio for a year for this and the gap is less than 2 fingers now.. she said it may not get smaller than that. I still have this pregnant look though, which is why I was looking down other avenues. I'm happy to continue with those exercises, just wasn't sure if it's still beneficial 🤔

Can't tell you what to do but I've had 4 babies and had a mum tum for years. I started with diasis recti exercises then weight bearing. There's loads on here about Caroline Girvan. I became the shape I want to be
