Abdominal separation

I am 6m post partum with my 2nd. I was huge pregnant and had 2 big babies yet somehow only had a 1cm separation at my physio check when no.2 was 6 weeks.

I have since been doing some YouTube post natal workouts which seem to focus on deep core exercises, but I still notice a slither of doming when I lift shoulders off ground (I only do this to check status!). Has anyone else had this and it closes? How long does it take?

also,y pelvic floor is noticeably weakened and my physio said I should just do those exercises on my back on my floor. Easier said than done when running around constantly. Do they work sitting down or standing up too?

They work, but they’re more strenuous and if you don’t have the pelvic floor strength to handle them then you’re getting into the territory of overloading the muscles.
