2wks post C-section: birthday celebration ideas?

Sorry if this is not the right place to post about this. I’m having a baby by C section next month and my husband’s birthday is two weeks after the birth.

i really want to do something that makes him
feel appreciated and celebrated because he’s such a kind, supportive partner and has really
looked after me and done everything throughout my pregnancy.

However I’m struggling to come up with ideas of what we will be able to manage logistically with a two week old baby, and also what I’ll be up to physically a mere two weeks after a C section.

Any ideas?? I’d like to get something planned in/booked before having the baby as I know I won’t have the headspace once the baby is here.

Get food and cupcakes delivered. Really that will seem like a great treat at 2 weeks.

I wouldn't plan too much as you won't know how you or baby will be.
Getting food delivered is a good idea.

Just order a nice present now so it’s sorted, and get a takeaway on the day. It’s probably all you’ll really fancy doing (both of you) at two weeks.

At 2 weeks postpartum all you’ll both want is sleep and hot food cooked for you. Add in a c section, and you really won’t be up for very much else. You’ll probably still be bleeding too. The month after having a baby is not an easy or pretty time.

Order in food and plan a holiday!

Thanks for the suggestions. Perhaps I’m being a bit ambitious! I thought we might manage going out for lunch and maybe a baby cinema screening or something but I may be misremembering the newborn period 😅 Ordering food in is a good shout. As is ordering a great present in advance so that’s sorted.

I had my baby last week & my birthday was 4 days after 😅 my husband ordered takeaway brunch for us, I had a few visitors come to ours spaced out and family cooked me & my husband my favourite meal for tea which we had with some champers!! It was very low key but absolutely perfect for me. Maybe you could organise some similar things for your husband :)

If its baby 2 or 3 or more you will get more done!! Baby cinema screening sounds lovely.
