Hi all, I had a episiotomy and second degree tear 15 weeks ago. I’ve still been having a little pain every now and again it’s definitely been getting better but I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago who told me that there a 1/2 hole on my scar and I’ve been referred to a gynaecologist.

This may be a bit TMI but during sex well when we try I get a sharp pain at the top left of inside my vagina no matter how far in he is even when he just puts it in I can feel it.
He also can’t get very far in mainly because of me being in pain (we do stop) and because he said it’s too tight.
We use condoms and a loooot of lube.
When we first started to try after I had our baby it hurt on the scar which I get but this pain on the top is awful.
Has anyone else had this feeling? And is there anything I can do?

You might need a repair if you didn’t heal properly after your tear. I had a third degree tear that just wouldn’t heal. Was very sore and some incontinence too. Six month pp I had a repair op and was right as rain after that. I didn’t have to wait long either.

@Hellohelga thank you for your reply can I ask you where you got repaired? Was it just on the scar/tear or on the inside?

Inside and out. I had a third degree tear and fistula so it was quite major. They did an amazing job sorting me out though. It was many years ago at St George’s London. The gynaecologist was lovely, very supportive. She explained everything really well which put my mind at rest. It was sore for a while after but honestly nothing compared to before. I had another DC 18m after but by caesarean to not undo all the good work downtown. Of course yours might not be quite as extensive and hopefully will be a fast recovery.
