Piles 4 months postpartum

I know this is a horribly embarrassing topic but I'm so worried and desperate to feel normal

I had severe constipation after my csection but didn't notice anything at the time.

I'm 4 months postpartum and a few days ago noticed a lump around my bum. It wasn't painful then, but is starting to feel sore and stingy.

I'm so ashamed. I've never had anything like this and feel so down as it's another thing on the ling list of things during recovery. I feel like I've just reached the end of what I can tolerate now and feel so worn down.

Does anyone have any experience ce of this and how long did it take to recover from?

I'm using the non hydrocortisone version of Anusol

Don’t be ashamed! Don’t be embarrassed!

Loads of people get them.

I absolutely throw everything and the kitchen at them if I get one - so it’s the Anusol cream, some witch hazel wipes for when you go to the toilet, maybe even a suppository from Anusol or similar.

Religiously apply your Anusol cream multiple times throughout the day

^whenever I’ve had one and do this, it’ll be gone in a week

Thanks for replying @MauriceTheMussel I think im struggling with the recovery and this was the last straw. I love my baby but didn't expect for my body to be so broken

Which anusol version did you use? I tried to get the hydrocortisone one but the pharmacy said that was prescription only

I think piles are pretty common just from the weight of the baby you are carrying. It is indeed just one more indignity we women suffer.

Jo Brand said in one of her stand up routines that 'a baby pops out at the front and piles pop out at the back'! Totally normal (remember what your body has been through in the last year).... Just enjoy your wonderful baby and treat your piles as best you can.
