Hi I’m 4 weeks post c section, 5 weeks on Friday and I am desperate for a bath (hot one too ! )
but I was told to wait 6 weeks but have seen a lot of people bathing days after I have attached a photo of my scar so you can see if it’s healed enough for me to have a hot bath

thank you !!

It looks a bit pulled so a little too sore to be having a bath in my very non-medical opinion. Has a doctor or midwife seen the scar recently? It’s nothing to be worried about. Mine was exactly the same but I’d check with them only.

Maybe hang fire and line up a lovely Christmas Eve bath as a reward for following orders :) I can understand the desire but if you get an infection now it will be a right pain.

Midwife here. It is fine OP. We only recommend waiting to prevent the stitches dissolving too soon. You are weeks down the line so enjoy your soak ❤️
