AIBU?

During pregnancy and post-partum, I have had support from the Midwife MH Team.

I am Autistic and struggle with severe anxiety.

Numerous times, my MH nurse has gone off the radar. I’ll contact her and it can take up to a week for a response.

Most recently, she visited at the end of September and assured she would make a referral for some Counselling. Next app was booked for 4 weeks away.

Less than a week later, I had a text stating my next app was cancelled. No context, no reschedule. I hadn’t heard anything regarding my referral either, which I was told my MH Nurse would contact me in the next day or so to let me know she’d done the referral.

A week later, I contacted the team - which took numerous phone call attempts to get through. I was told my Nurse had gone off on sick, which would be followed by some pre-booked AL.

She hadn’t done the referral. Nor had anyone contacted me to check on me/advise what to do if I needed support.

She has messaged me this morning (over a month following our last contact - ‘Hi.
Hope you are well.
I am back to work today. I will come and see you next Thursday at 11 if that's ok with you.’

No acknowledgement at all or her being MIA for the past month.

I messaged back explaining how upset I am that I’m supposed to have support and I felt completely abandoned.

AIBU?

I think you need to move this to AIBU if that’s the discussion you want.

I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad experience and sadly I think many do. I’d recommend going straight to PALS if you need further support and you can’t get through to your midwife or team to see what is happening.
