TW: blood/lochia on pad image

so i’m panicking, well not panicking at this stage because it’s not a crazy amount but i’m bleeding quite a bit i’m 13 days postpartum n it did stop or slow down at least n today it’s ramped back up again😅 it happened first thing in the morning there was a small gush of it, didn’t smell or anything just blood, it was dark red. then it happened again after pumping for twenty mins n walking downstairs, n it’s just now happened after another nap with my little one.
im gonna attach pics can anyone give me some advice/let me know if this could be normal? i have no way of getting to my hospital at the moment so i really would like to avoid overreacting n going in IF i can, but i do understand if it’s serious i will go in.also adding a pic of my incision as my stitch is poking out a bit, can this be normal. i feel absolutely fine not dizzy or hot or anything i’m just a bit wary that’s all.

I was quite shocked at the amount of pp bleeding, and as far as I can remember it went on for a good few weeks - so if you're not feeling unwell and it doesn't look like big "chunks" (which could indicate some retained placenta) then it sounds normal I think. You mention incision - did you have a C-section? I've no experience of that, hopefully others can advise whether heavy pp bleeding after a section is normal.

If you are worried though, why don't you ring your midwife and describe it to her - unless things have changed in the last few years, you're still under her care for the first month.

i’ve messaged my midwife, just waiting for her to get back to me:)) i’m gonna monitor it for the rest of today and then if it’s not stopped by tmrw i’m gonna ring 111. yeah i had a c section lol i should’ve said that, they told me the bleeding would have stopped by 2 weeks hence why i’m worried and everything on google says if it restarts it could be infection or pph, i took my temperature n that’s all fine though so i doubt it is an infection
