Postpartum bleeding

My baby is 5 weeks and 3 days old today, my bleeding turned to pink spotting around 3 weeks old for about 4-5 days and around week 4 it turned bright red like a fresh blood colour, it’s been the same for about 9-10 days now. It doesn’t have a bad smell and I’m not soaking through pads and no signs of infection. This is my 4th baby and the longest I’ve ever bled. Could this have been my lochia ending and going straight into my period? Did anyone else’s first postpartum period last for ages after? Should try and see my gp when they open again on Monday? I’m also exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice cause even though this is my 4th baby it’s been different this time around after birth.

Hey! The pattern of slowing down then starting up again with the bleeding happened after both of my DC (also EBF) first stopped completely around 6 weeks and got my first period just after 7ish weeks. This time the bleeding stopped at 7weeks and I’m yet to have my first period, yay (10weeks pp). Xx
