What was everyone's first period after given birth like?

I have heard some horror and I have been dreading coming on. Yesterday I came on for the first since having my child, he is 5 months old. I have had no pain and I am pretty light. I gave been exclusively breastfeeding him and also started to pump recently. is this normal for and period. I normally have horrendous periods, that were pretty heavy. Also when I went for my pregnancy scan the doctors notice that I had two large fibroid as well. Which she said is link to heavy periods.

Fibroids sometimes cause heavy periods, but not always.
My postpartum periods were lighter too. Everyone is different.

Hi OP, also BF. First at 6m PP was light and short, missed 7 month all together and 8m PP I had a terrible period, suppose I had missed a whole month though. Due on again next week, hoping it’s a bit more ‘normal’

hey I’m almost 9 month pp and still haven’t had a period and breastfeeding as well, im gutted though as we want to start ttc for baby number 2! Did you get many symptoms leading up to your first pp period as I feel like I’ve had cramps bad skin and hot flashes for weeks now but still no sign!
