How much hair loss is too much? I am losing handfuls and handfuls everyday and my pony tail is getting really thin.
I have uploaded a pic from this morning after my shower and this is out of my hair brush after every wash.

Started about Christmas time.

Postpartum hypothyroidism?
low iron? It needs to be above 70 for healthy hair growth, which lots of Drs don’t realise.

you do lose 50-100 hairs daily in the shed cycle though. I can’t see a pic yet so not sure how much you are losing, but if you are concerned do speak to a dr.

I did have low iron during the pregnancy and had iron supplements. My iron hasn’t been checked since the birth so that may be it. I am still taking my pregnacare vitamins so I don’t know if that would affect a blood test result.

I’ve done an e-consult now and asked for bloods but there was no option to attach a photo so I hope they don’t just come back and say hair loss in common postpartum because while it is, this is excessive and I won’t have anything left if this keeps up.
Also my thighs have no hair even though it grows below the knee and my forearms have no hair.
