Trying to stop milk.

Hi, so i had my daughter 8 days ago, milk came in around 6 days ago, I was told due to bottle feeding to just wear a tight sports bra and leave breasts alone. I have done this for 6 days, not got them wet or anything. However, milk is still there and boobs are very much sore. Has anyone else had this issue. With my first daughter they stopped within a few days but at the moment it has nearly been a week and doesn't look like the milk production is stopping.
Any advice is welcome. 😌

I would speak to your GP as you don’t want to get mastitis. I don’t have experience of stopping milk straight off, but when I stopped 6m in I had to hand express to be comfortable and then just took less and less out over a few days. You could try hand expressing a little bit to be comfortable? But I would speak to your GP or similar first.
