Postnatal anxiety

So I have a 2 week old baby and I have postnatal anxiety. Has anyone else had this before?
I remember having it before with my other children but that was quite a while ago now.
I just feel really on edge and nervy. I know it is still early days and I am adjusting to a new baby and new life etc. I think lack of sleep doesn’t help and having lots of visitors over the past couple of weeks too.
I just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to help lessen the anxiety or any strategies they have used themselves to help get them through this rocky stage?

Hello x
i have 4 children. My youngest is 4 months old.
my eldest is 15! So I’ve literally started all over again

my advice is… take it easy. Honestly, you’re tired, you’re still sore, you’re hormones are all over the place, you’re body is still healing and most importantly you are still adjusting.

this time round I have really struggled. In every way possible. The first 12 weeks I felt no how. Didn’t know what to do or how to do it. Didn’t know who I was. I cried so much and felt so overwhelmed. Surrounded by people but felt lonely. Worried about everything. Same as you, anxious.
baby is only 2 weeks old. You’re literally in the thick of it.
don’t pressure yourself in any way at all.
rest when you can and leave the cleaning till later. Put your feet up and cuddle baby. Only do what you feel like doing. This stage will pass so quickly you won’t even realise. Just slow down. Don’t worry. Take this time for what it is xx
hope you are ok xxx

Thank you 💕 it really does help when you have some reassurance and positivity from someone who’s been through similar.
my oldest is almost 15 and I have a 13 year old so it’s like starting all over again for me too! Think I forgot how hard it is!!

I was 19 when I had my first! So really young and more energetic. I feel so much older now 😂
the kids have been great helping me out bless them both but they still need me too so sometimes it’s a bit chaotic but we will get there.
how about you? Do yours like to help out?
