C-section delivery 11 weeks ago

Slightly personal but had a c section 11 weeks ago now. The incision is completely healed although still very tender and numb in areas. But I am still losing blood, I know no matter what the birth, you always loose blood for a while following the birth of your child. I did have a coil fitted during the section. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I was still bleeding at about 14 weeks post partum. Very annoying but the GP just said that as long as I didn't have a fever and it didn't smell it wasn't a concern and would eventually stop.

I bled for about 13 weeks after my second section (about 8 with my first). I've never had a coil but I know others who have mentioned getting bleeding after having it fitted so it could possibly be prolonging it. No harm in asking the GP if you are worried though.

If it’s not heavy bleeding it’ll probably be the coil, is it a mirena? You can get irregular bleeding for up to six months after they are fitted (normally a lot less though) but once that settles they are amazing, I had no periods for five years on mine, it was heavenly!

I bled for about 12 weeks after both my sections, had a week off then started my period.
