Blood clots

Hello! Just wondered if you’re 8 weeks postpartum and went in a&e with chest pain, they said they wouldn’t do a blood test (d dimer) as it’s not accurate with been post partum, but at what point would it be accurate after birth? (My symptoms have eased now and I’m still on blood thinners from labour) but I’d have thought the test would be accurate by now.

also, how likely is a blood clot if you’re on blood thinners? They think I have GERD but I’m still worrying about a blood clot

Very common to worry about further clots if you've had one but very unlikely to get one while on thinners, which is the point of them. Just follow their advice on thinners - they will not do another d-dimer while on thinners. If you are still getting chest pains it could be anxiety - if you use a wearable watch check if you HR is going over 100 multiple times a day when not exercising? You might be having panic attacks.
