First period after birth

Hi fellow mummas!

I had my first baby nearly 5 weeks ago and am solely bottle feeding. I'm painfully aware that my first post-baby period is probably coming soon, but I've noticed today that I'm feeling VERY hormonal. Everything is pissing me off, including everything my husband does or says 😅 it's much worse than any period-related hormones I've experienced before, but presumably this is normal after everything my body has been through? Will the first one be awful? 😬

Mine was just like normal both times as far as I remember.

I didn’t get my period back for quite a while after each child (breast feeding) but my periods were (temporarily) better than before - much less painful.

Physically, my periods are better. They're shorter, little to no cramping, not much bloating. The hormonal side however 😳 the rage is something else. I also have much more intrusive thoughts like I'm a bad Mam, friend, partner etc. It all goes away when I get my period but the run up to it is awful. My LO is two now so I don't know if it ever goes back 😂

My first few were a little heavier and I had a heavy dragging feeling in my pelvic floor but they quickly went back to normal.
