C section scar “opening”

has anyone ever experienced a section scar “opening” as such. It’s not really really deep but deep enough and about 1.5cm wide , this is the third time now and section was 7 weeks ago
I’ve been to doctors and they gave antibiotics and said it would heal the first time, just wondering if anyone’s ever had something similar and it did heal ? They told me they don’t restitch but don’t see how it’s going to heal itself

didn’t have any problems until 4 weeks later was always told everything was healing well

I had this, but many years ago. Eventually it did come together and heal, but it was very sore. And with a new born it was yet another thing to worry about and not feel 100% over. Good to get antibiotics. I was weeping pus. Wearing 'granny pants' helped so wound was not irritated.

@Theoldwrinkley aw thank you, seems to be everytime it starts to heal it opens again , I’ve a 2 year old and newborn so very hard to completely rest up which is frustrating especially as I’m not doing anything dramatic to open it . Yeah it’s stingy as such

Hey. I had my second section 15 weeks ago now - my scar opened like yours, after multiple antibiotics it has FINALLY closed! It just takes a bit longer to heal I was told due to the way the wound heals once the stitch isn’t there. It was sore. Best advice I can give is BIG knickers, try and keep it clean and dry xx

Is it infected ? Red or even hot to touch ? Asking as that’s what happened when mine was infected.
hope you get it sorted X

Mine opened within a few days, I got a very nasty infection and was seriously ill in hospital. I was in hospital for a week afterwards and was desperate to be better and home with my baby. Keep a close eye in case of high temperature or a smell to it.
Ds is now 14 and it still itches and gets sore from time to time although it’s healed. Keep it clean and dry. Also lots advise to dry with a hairdryer. Unless the hairdryer is brand new, don’t do this. Blowing potential hot air and dust onto a wound is not sensible,
