So my labour resulted in a third degree tear and an episiotomy.

I'm 3 weeks post at the moment
Just wondered if anyone else at this stage with the same injury felt a constant pressure in your bum even at this stage of healing?
I know its still early days

Thanks

Yes I did. I remember feeling it would never get better but it did. Mine got infected, have yours been checked at all?

I've had mine checked over twice
I have had a swab done to double check everything although the midwife doesn't believe it is infected
Just waiting on the results

Hi there - I’m in a very similar situation but 4weeks post and still in pain and discomfort. I don’t have any advice so I’m watching in the hope someone can say it will improve.
OP do you have a physio referral?
I do and I’m hoping they can give me some answers / solutions. I have have the pressure feeling in the back but also feel sore around my urethra, like it’s swollen. I can’t sit comfortably and crossing my legs in painful due to the urethra.
it sucks a lot.

Hi
yea I did, it didn’t hurt but just felt like pressure. The first time I tried to use a tampon felt very strange too and I had to take it out but mine got better in a couple of months. I’m a year on now and just get a full ache in the scar now and again but it’s not painful.

Hiya I am 11 weeks post epitosmy and 4th degree tear forecep delivery. I had that pressure feeling I also had terrible time trying to go for number 2.

I over done it ripped my stitches I think week 3-4- was the worst and I thought I woild never get better. (You start to get sick of the pain don't you). But it started to feel better around 6 weeks I think and ow zero pain and number 2 all back to normal. So hold tight better days are coming. ... I do hoeev3r now have terrible bladder leakage what I am seeing the physio for as it's pretty bad.

All the best for your recoveries and congratutions and them new bubbas x

I had this, it's utterly grim, I've also had a c-section and the episiotomy is far worse, you will get better, hang in there.

Yes I had forceps and episiotomy and I remember feeling like I had given birth out of my ar*e. It was a couple weeks or so before it got better - childbirth absolutely breaks you but you will heal :)
