C section “shelf”

Hello,
four weeks post second c section with noticeable “shelf”. Didn’t have one with my first so quite upset about it! Any hopeful stories about people who had it and it went away? Any tips on what helps? I have a bit of weight to lose but my skin is quite loose around the tummy already so not sure if it will look better or worse after weight loss…

Please be kind to yourself, you’re only 4 weeks post c section so still very early days!

my baby is 9 months old and I feel like I now feel almost back to myself. It took a good couple of months for swelling and water weight to go down. I was left with a little overhang but honestly, eating slightly better and walking each day with the pram for about 30 mins has massively helped. I haven’t stepped foot in a gym and haven’t dieted! I just eat more fruit and veg and try not massively snack at nights.

Rest just now, enjoy your time with your baby and when you’re up to it, take small steps to feel more yourself
