Hi All

Baby is 3 days old but awaiting infant feeding team as struggles with tongue/ wide enough latch, and breastfeeding is just too painful and has made me sore and bleed. I have a Phillips avent electric pump but the mechanism feels rough and still very sore to do. Id like to express so she can have breast milk via bottle and also for supply in case we can return to breastfeeding after assessment/ treatment.

Can anyone recommend a pump that is a bit kinder and more comfortable please? UK based

Many thanks in advance

Frosty

Have you tried hand expressing into a cup? That was the most gentle for me. Also loved my Hakka for let down and some manual pumping.

Electric I liked Medela swing and started on lowest setting

Hi
I didn’t have good enough milk supply for a Hakka although my friend loved hers. I had the medala swing but found the wires very annoying so I got the mam cordless one which I really liked
