C section bleeding

Hi wondering if anyone has experienced similar.
had my c section 12 days ago, vaginal bleeding turned brown and stopped around day 8-11 but today it has come back a lot heavier again and red.
is this normal for it to come and go? I’ve never had a section before this so don’t know what to expect, I’ve also read that around day 10 etc the blood left from your placenta I think begins to come away?

Mine definitely came and went over 2-3 weeks and I don’t think 12 days is a long time after really. Definitely mention it to your midwife or HV though if you’re at all concerned about the volume of blood loss

It was for me especially if I over did it a bit. Keep an eye on it.

Mine was very stop/start. I was told that as long as it wasn’t excessive or had clots bigger than a 50p then it was fine, but do check with your midwife anyway as no two people have the same experience and they should be able to alleviate your concerns.
