Hey guys just wanted some advice please. I'm only 24. I had my daughter 2 years ago, and since 6 months postpartum with her, I have had a constant all over body mild itch. It's nothing that's taking over my life. I don't notice it when I'm busy. But if I think of it, I will always know it's there. It's not to the point where I'm leaving scratch marks or anything, a gentle rub makes the itch go away. I do notice it more at night but I think that's because I'm chilling etc and notice it more. I have had liver and kidney tests, moisturised etc and everything has come back clear. Has anyone had this and can offer any advice? It would be fine if I had to live with it but I'm not sure if it could be sinister or anything? Thank you xx

Have you tried an antihistamine?

unknownn · 16/10/2024 21:15

@gamerchick no.. but does that just randomly happen? I don't suffer with allergies at all, never get hayfever, not sensitive to animals or dust etc. And it's been consistent for 1.5 years. Not sure if it could still be that? X

Histamine is what your body produces when you are having an allergic reaction. Antihistamine simple reduces the histamine. Hormonal changes can change what we are allergic to.

I'd give something like loratidine a go.
