Sore boobs

My baby will be 6 weeks tomorrow and for the past 2 days my boobs have been quite tender. I breastfed for the first 2 weeks then stopped. Could it be caused by my milk drying up or my period on the way?

Could be period related. Do you have a fever/shivers like mastitis?

@DustyLee123 not that I have noticed, iv tried to slightly express incase it is that and to see if it will ease the pain, drips are coming out however my milk seems a lot thicker and gloopy than before

You need to stop expressing. You need to leave them alone so that the milk dries up.
