Diastasis Recti Developed late

I had a mummy MOT at 8 weeks and everything was good, hardly any abdominal gaps. I just looked at myself in mirror and can’t understand how if anything my stomach looks flabbier, I’m now five months post partum after a section. I just did the finger test for diastasis recti and couldn’t believe the size of my gap, it felt like three fingers. I’ll book back in to see the physio but how has this happened?? Has anyone else been fine but then developed the gap?

Did you do the finger test yourself before? Are you sure you're doing it properly?
