Fingers never returning to normal size!

I had DC2 approx 20 months ago. I got incredibly swollen in pregnancy and DC2 was a big baby. Thankfully my swelling went down, everywhere except in my fingers! I’m now pretty much back to my pre-pregnancy size but I still cannot comfortably fit my wedding ring on, and my engagement ring (which was always quite loose) regularly leaves a mark on my finger.

i didn’t have this with DC1 so I’m finding it really strange that my fingers are still bigger than pre pregnancy with DC2! Has anyone else had that? I’m weighing up getting my rings re-sized but wanted to give it a reasonable amount of time to save on the expense!

I'm four years on from my youngest and mine have never gone down. I have gained weight so that is part of it, but I don't think I've gained that much iykwim!

I decided to wait until six months after I stopped breastfeeding in case that was affecting them, then I got my rings resized. Cost a bloody fortune they were so much bigger! Could tell by the look on the poor young man in the jewellers that it was a much bigger than normal resize

Anyway, ho hum, I never had nice slim fingers even at my slimmest, they've always been thick and puffy. But at least my rings are nice!

Not hands/fingers, but I gained a full shoe size in pregnancy and it took over a year to go back!

I was pregnant seven years ago and my fingers never went back to normal. I weigh less than I did pre pregnancy but my fingers (and ribcage) are bigger. Just the price of having kids I suppose!

Yes I have a friend who weighs less and looks a lot slimmer than pre kids but had to get rid of most of her clothes because her rib cage is so much bigger. Weird!
