Postpartum hives?

Hi all,

I am now 6 months postpartum and for the past 6 months have been suffering with really itchy skin. I have developed high sensitivity to pretty much everything!
I can no longer wear jewellery as I have an allergic reaction. Sometimes I’ll just be sitting down and a rash will break out over my arms and chest area.

if I itch my skin, it leaves deep raised bumps as if I’ve had a bad allergic reaction/ heat rash.

its becoming super hard to cope with. My doctors keep brushing it off as postpartum hives.

any similar experiences and how long it could last??:(

How long have you had it for @NewMamaToBee?

Only asking because Me & DH are experiencing something quite similar and we've put it down to a virus.

5 weeks PP and experiencing the same thing. I had a c sec and have read it can be delayed reactions to morphine. I have also read it's hormone related and wondering if linked to bf.
I've been drs and got fexofedine but it's not worked after 4 days so far. Have you been prescribed anything? I'm going to request a blood test next week.

Hi
I'm 10 weeks postpartum and iam experiencing similar, it did start before I gave birth, but now o have big thick hives all over on my legs, arms and chest, it's worse when hot and after shower but I've noticed it is also a reaction to hearing my baby cry 🤷🏻‍♀️
I'm not breast feeding and had a vaginal birth so no reaction to pain killers.
Gp keeps fobbing me off with antihistamines which dont seem to work either.

Looking to see if anyone else has experiences this.
Also my 3rd baby, I had sensitive skin with my previous 2 but not like this.

Thanks
