Thank you!

@mks1110 in the nicest possible way, please don't worry about things like belly wrap and belly bands and just enjoy your baby! You will not even care what your belly looks like, at least for a little while. Let your body recover. I have had two c sections - trust me when I say the way your belly looks will be the last thing you think about for a long time. And that's coming from someone who has always been pretty slim, into exercise/fitness etc.

Wish you all the best with your c section OP.

No didn’t use one after either of my 2 sections. What are they supposed to do? I thought it was good to let the wound air once the surgical dressing is off? I had a great recovery- was up and moving as soon as I could feel my legs again and had the flat stomach back by about a month afterwards- it takes that long for your uterus to contract so it’s not going to be any quicker whatever you do.

Also had 2 sections and like PPs didn't use anything like that. It is better for your body if you use your own muscles. Good luck today!

I didn’t use anything like that. As PP have said to let the wound air. Wear cotton knickers, at points if you’re able to go knicker less and lie down with it uncovered and airing is best.

I imagine a belly wrap may encourage infection. It may also stop your own muscles from healing so well.

good luck!!

Not sure what they are. After my c section I didn't use anything. Comfy loose clothes were so nice as you want the area to be airy as the others have said.

I tried one as a friend gave me hers, I found it too uncomfortable in all honesty. I used this top from Jojo and it did the same sort of thing but was more comfortable. Within 6 weeks I was healed, had my flat stomach back and was exercising again. Everyone is different but that’s my experience

Hope all went well with your c section OP 🥰

Well.. I went to the hospital, changed into the gown, ready for my turn. Only to be told that key medical info wasn't sent to the surgical team, especially the Anesthesiologists. Because of the medical history, they needed sign off from a neuro and they couldn't get a hold of someone.
A lot of drama, last minute info, etc later, the c section was cancelled because we were out of time! And then a midwife made the situation just so much worse with poor communication and attitude.
It was an extremely emotional day, not helped but all the close family and friends asking for updates ....
