C section overhang

Had a c section 3.5 months ago. Scar is healing fine. I’ve got a bit of ‘shelf’ above it though. Feels almost like muscle above it rather than loose skin. Does anyone know if this will get better? My tummy has got flatter slowly but surely since the op. Just trying to figure out if this is how it’ll look forever!

Hey, I’m 9 months post c section and I still have a bump above my scar. I had a scan done a bit ago and was told I had diastasis recti. Not sure there is much that can be done about it other then exercises (pelvic floor etc.) but I’m not sure how successful they are!
Obviously I don’t know if this is something you have but worth getting it checked out with a doctor if you’re concerned?
3.5 months is still early days really though so things may still change x

Hmm yeah. It might be forever.

I've had 3 C-sections. After the 1st I had a bit of a shelf, 2nd a bit more and 3rd a major shelf 😔 I hate it and it has really changed my body shape and what clothes I can wear but it can't be helped.

Being slim-ish and toned does help it enormously but if I put on even a few pounds they seem to go straight to my lower belly and make the shelf more pronounced!

My sections were 8, 5 and 2 years ago.
