Should I feel guilty?

Hello all, I know this is probably silly but I have Post Natal Anxiety and just need a little bit reassurance.

I live in Scotland, at the moment the weather isn't great. I work and today it's been raining, I just wanted a chill day with my daughter who had just turned 1.

However I see other mothers taking the their kids out and doing things with them even in the rain...

Should I feel guilty I haven't done much with her when the weather is crap. She gets my full attention and we watch Disney movies and play games.

Should I feel guilty?

Of course not. I often find it quite sad that some parents are unable to just stay inside for a day and entertain/ enjoy their baby. Your baby will have a nice calm day with full attention from mum.

Nope, not at all.
I'm in Scotland as well. Weather was rubbish for me on Saturday and I was home alone with DD (2 next month). We baked cakes (using box cake mix!), played for a bit inside...after lunch (aka, threw her spaghetti hoops everywhere!), I nearly lost my rag - popped her in her play pen in the living room while I cleaned up the kitchen. Eventually had to take her out for a walk - combination of needing a couple of things from the shop, DD needing a nap and needing some fresh air (albeit very windy and wet!) I took a wee video of her wearing her wellies and splashing in a puddle on the way to the garage to get her buggy.

Nothing wrong with staying inside if DD was entertained. Comparison is the thief of joy - do what makes YOU and your DD happy :)

I don't mind being inside all day, but sometimes DD only naps in her pram/buggy/car so I need to take her out...I also get a bit of cabin fever being stuck at home all day. We were both for the better after going out for a couple of hours.
