Hello
im 5 weeks post partum. My c section wound area (above the incision) is warm to touch. I’ve had to start taking pain relief again. I went bowling last week. I also had sex (which wasn’t sore at the time). I’m going to go back to the doctors but I am just wondering if anyone has had any experience like this? Thanks

You have had surgery OP. I think a lot of people who've had sections (myself included) think that it's a minor thing because you're just expecting to get up and walk around 2 hours after and look after a tiny baby.

You should take it easy for a couple of weeks as maybe you've opened up an internal stitch.

It sounds like you might have an infection. You need to see GP and get it checked, you may need antibiotics.

It could be an infection or you’ve really strained yourself whilst bowling. I had a really bad post op infection within two days of discharge from the hospital. It took approximately a year to completely recover, probably due to the infection and scar tissue. 5 weeks isn’t long post section, be patient and look after yourself, you’re not wonder woman, take it easy.
