Hey

Did anyone use any kind of barrier cream or anything else to keep the rashes away?I am finding rubbing of the skin is causing rashes. I showed it to the GP and she thought it may be fungal infection for which i was given an anti fungal cream. It didnt help and made it worse. Someone told me I need a barrier cream. How did you guys deal with this issue?

BIG KNICKERS. Keep it clean/dry. Silicone scar sheets.

I wore disposable net like knickers. They are actually washable and reusable and really let the area breath. I found even cotton underwear rubbed on the scar

This happened to me second time around and I was given a breathable dressing from the practice nurse which I changed every day. Anything touching me in that area set it off but the dressing protected it for me. I also used iodine strips underneath the dressing to aid the healing.

Massive knickers and colloidal silver spray (let it air dry before dressing) worked for me

Even for the rashes? I had to have dressings for the gaps that wouldn't close. Once they closed I was told to take them off and landed in this situo. Been struggling for months now.
