Sex after a section

I’m 3weeks pp after a c-section. Sex during pregnancy was a big fat no no but ever since having baby I can’t get it off my mind. Everyone says how important it is to wait the 6 weeks, however at my 2 week pp appt , the midwife discussed contraception and said “if you are sexually active, then please consider contraception as you are really fertile right now” - she didn’t mention anything about waiting to have sex. I have also read the attached pics on the NHS website. so I’m confused. Can I have sex? Can I not? I don’t want an infection, obviously. I also read somewhere that an orgasm could cause me contractions and cause bleeding etc? Is this true? How long did you wait after birth/section?

I think it’s like every risk - it’s up to you to decide for you to decide what’s right for you.
I had sex 3week post section as my scar was completely closed, there was no pain, I had a really good range of movement. The first few times was slightly more gentle etc, by week 4 everything was back to normal.

I was told by the midwife that we could start having sex whenever I felt ready, there was no official waiting time.
