Hi everyone - two weeks postpartum and my GP has just advised that the large, hard, painful lump at one side of my c-section incision is a hernia and I'll need an ultrasound to confirm, then surgery.
I'm gutted. As a family we've just had one thing after another to deal with and I thought we could just enjoy our baby for a few weeks . . . but now I have pain and discomfort and the prospect of recovering from another op.
I'd love it if anyone can answer the questions I was too discombobulated to ask the doc today!

Am I likely to be given the op quickly or are there horrendous waiting lists for this type of thing?
-
Will I have to stop breastfeeding? If so I'll be gutted - I've worked so hard to establish feeding
-
From googling it seems to be a simple op - in and out in a day. Is this true of your experience?
Thank you. Now I'm off to shake my fist at the universe and have a little cry!
