Im 2 weeks post c section (bad one with t incision too) and have had diarrhea the whole time, well constipated for the first few days, took laxative to get it out and now non stop diarrhea. All infections and bugs ruled out. I've lost loads of weight and feel very strange, weak muscles and indigestion too. GP and midwife said they expect it to go away in time. Has anyone else had the same and has good news for me that it went away? Is there a light at the end of this tunnel??

Heya! I’m sorry you’ve been feeling like this - I have too! I’m now 13 days post op and the last few days have been feeling so rough, loss of appetite, nausea, really loose bowels! I did come off the stronger opioid meds I was taking this week so I’m wondering if it’s a bit of a side effect of that, and also taking painkillers like ibuprofen on not that much food! Plus with breastfeeding guzzling all my energy, no wonder feel weak?? How are you feeling now?

So it ended up being 'overflow' I had never heard of it before, and 3 GPS didn't diagnose it! It was only until I went back to the midwives distressed that they clocked it. Basically I was so badly constipated since the op that the loose stool was coming around the blockage, they did an x-ray and I was all blocked up and had to take laxatives and do 3 enemas (LOL) to get it going. I'm now 4 weeks post op and my bowels are now normal and flowing which is great, although I still have this indigestion and reflux which I assume will pass in time. Double check the overflow thing just in case , but I guess if you were going regularly before this then you should be ok. I'm not breastfeeding and still feel weak and so strange. I am also suffering with my mental health so I think it's all tied in. (Being supported which is great ) please do keep me updated on here how you get on. It's always good to see how things pass etc x
