Postpartum back pain

Four months ago I had my first baby by emergency C-section, and ever since I have been getting progressively worse back pain. It’s mostly fine during the day, but when I wake up about 2am to feed it feels like it’s seized up, then I can’t get comfy the rest of the night or even turn over in bed with out being in agony (I know it sounds dramatic but currently getting even less sleep than I could be!), back eases off after about an hour of being up and about in the morning, it’s mid back, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? And if anyone found something that helps? I wondered if it was because I was carrying my little one in the sling too much, but haven’t carried her in it for 5 days now and there’s no difference! I’m at a loss - hope someone can help!

Have you tried seeing an osteopath? They work on both the bones (same as a chiropractor) but also the muscles. A good osteopath will be able to find what's wrong and recommend a treatment plan.

You could have a locked vertebrae in your back or it could easily just be muscular. Especially if you're breastfeeding the early months are a killer
