Umbilical hernia mesh

has anyone had one of these implanted? If so how is it going… do you have any issues and which mesh was used?

Hi, a bit late but interested to know why you were asking- do you have it or were thinking about it? I had surgery to repair an umbilical hernia last weds and the surgeon used mesh because he said my muscles were too stretched thin. The first few days recovery seemed to be going in the the direction but then yesterday 5 days post op I've had sharp shooting pains out of nowhere- feels like a knife stabbing me inside. Really hoping it's just part of the healing process and not signs of mesh problems. Feeling pretty anxious about it.
